About Fit & Flex Yoga

Connection between movement and breath, as well as standard Hatha-type alignment principles, are focused on in order to open the body and invite release from the stress of every day life.  The way each class is conducted depends upon the particular's teacher training and focus, but all classes incorporate asanas designed to open up body and mind. Increase flexibility, body awareness, tone and lengthen muscles, and decrease stress.  Let life flow more easily all around you.

About Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (wahich we call yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of yoga asana. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perafect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal hea and athe lengthening and contracting of our muscles.  Yin Yoga generally targes the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
